See? I've got a teaser for you this week! And I'm posting it before I go to bed so I won't forget!
So, something I'm thinking about as I come to the end of this book is that Rose's family sort of drives the plot, but as it is right now, you won't actually meet them till the very end. Thus, I'm trying to slip in little snippets like this one, where Rose is thinking about them.
Enjoy!

As usual, your writing draws me in (helpfully, I'm on board with the basic historical werewolfy premise).
ReplyDeleteAll the questions remind me of what I've problems with in my own writing -- and what I'm trying to address while writing my WIP: interiority. Getting the main character to, you know, think about what's going on as it's going on.
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not so much getting Rose to think about what's going on - she does that all the time - but wondering if she's thinking too much and not doing enough, haha. And the worry that her main motivation is offscreen until the very end. Ah well. This is what edits are for, right?
