Yay for first timers! I don't know what this is about, but it has a sweet, kind of fairy tale feel to it for me so far. I like the obviously caring relationship b/t the two characters.
Every line on this teaser makes me ask loads of questions. Where are they? Where do they come from? Why did they invade the place? Who chases after them?
Love the dialogue between them as well and the name Avar. *nods*
Loved the dialogue. Ha ... love. lol! And congrats on your first teaser tuesday. Today will be my first as well, so you can imagine how nervous I am. I still can't pick a teaser!! You didnt seem to have that trouble, though. Wonderful writing
Happy first Teaser Tuesday! I have to say that you pulled me in with the first line and as I got further into it, I just had to keep reading. I have a million and one questions and I can't wait to see how it pans out. Great snip!
Ah, I knew there was something to that wolfish grin line, then I read the sidebar about your story. I like the dialogue here too, it flows well and brings up a lot of questions. Keep teasing!
This is actually from the sequel to the book mentioned in the side bar - I should probably put something up about that...
Lynkay - they are in a tavern in 18th century Rouen. Rose comes from a small village in central France; Avar comes from one on the opposite end of the country from where they are now. They didn't *technically* invade, but they are the newbies there. And just about everyone chases after them.

ReplyDeleteReally cute dialogue between the two of them. And the "wolfish" grin. Could that mean something... werewolf-like?
